Cattery

The Cattery was completed at the end of 2001, to Feline Advisory Bureau specifications!

Each roomy individual pen has its own sleep platform, exercise or play area, containing toys and scratch posts. 

We are really pleased with our new Cattery. The cats love it and it has a really pleasant atmosphere, helped by the Rayburn and the classical music. It was a struggle and a lot of work to get it finished, but we are pleased with it and proud of it.

Double glazed windows above each sleeping platform look out on to the gardens or the outside world. In the colder months, our oil-fired Rayburn provides the central heating, pumping hot water throughout the building, while in summer the cattery is air-conditioned.

The Cattery has pot plants and colourful decorations providing visual stimulation and interest for the cats. Cats from the same family may be housed together.

We feed good quality dry complete food, tuna or premium cat food, but owners may bring their pet's favourites if they wish.

Cats are such discerning, stoical and sensitive animals and can easily suffer in silence. So not only is it of utmost importance that extra effort is made to keep them happy, to make sure that they eat and are not in distress, and care of them can only be entrusted to knowledgeable persons.
